    Description

    1929 Westinghouse Electric Watthour Meter Type OB 5 Amp 115 Volt. Condition is "Used".  This relic was actually converted into a lamp at one time, I recovered the meter before discarding the wood base. The new owner may wish to rewire it for another lamp,  perhaps retro steampunk it into another funtional creation! Its tested, the meter wheel spun and the gears work when electric is run to it. The wing nuts and glass are original (glass is slightly cloudy) the connection cover with wing nut (bottom of meter) is still accounted for. It is missing the original house mounting tab on the back and two holes were drilled on the inside (picture #5 illustrates the 2 holes) to mount it to a board. (Not noticable when assembled) it weighs approximately 4 pounds 10 ounces. Its an older restoration (painted steel) but looks great for its age. The serial number dates it to 1929, the year of the Great Depression! Please feel free to view the pictures for a visual condition, thanks for the look!
