2006 Suzuki DL 1000

Suzuki Other. 2006 Suzuki DL 1000 vstrom. Runs great, lots of extras. Recently serviced, PA inspected and ready to ride. Great touring with some dirt road capacity.The bike was just inspected in April when it came out for the season. Always garaged. Had new rear brakes and the entire charging system replaced. These bikes are very reliable except for charging system. My battery kept dying, so it got a new battery, new regulator, new stator and new flywheel (I saved the stock fly wheel if you want it) with the PA inspection (not cheap!) Runs excellentExtras and features includeheated grips (they work), crash bars, charging port, hand guards, front highway pegs, Corbin (was expensive) seat, skid plate, Madstad tall windscreen and adjustable mount, rear bag, Pelican side cases (removable) with factory mounts and an audible turn signal alarm. It also includes the factory matched side cases but they need new lock cylinders. Previous owner lost key and drilled out the locks. The quick release mounts are included but the lock mechanisms need repair. MechanicalTires are good. Rear tire is a mixed street/dirtCorbin seat is taller and wider than stock. The bike has been professionally lowered with adjustable Soupy links by about 2 inches. I am just under 5' 10 and it fits me well. Stock seat would make it even lower. It can be lowered about another 3/4 inch/ 1 inch or raised back up easily by any mechanic. Only draw back to lowering is it is harder get on the center stand and you have less off road clearanceThe bike runs and rides great. The Madstad windscreen provides nice highway protection. The 1000 is faster and more powerful than the 650.Pick up available at Pittsburgh airport if you want to ride it home or I will deliver within 3 hours of Pittsburgh for a fee.
