    Description

    Beautiful sugar sterling silver sugar tongs in the 1905 Douvain pattern by Unger Brothers. The ornate pattern handles lead to the three claw feet on either side. The top is monogrammed in an Old English letter script in what appears to be a "J". The tongs measure approx. 3 7/8" in length and have a total weight of 25.6 grams total weight. The inside handle is marked with the Unger sterling mark, and sterling. Unger made art nouveau flatware from 1900 to 1910, and Douvain appeared in 1904.
