BRUNSVIGA-MIDGET mechanical pinwheel calculator vintage antiqueNo. 26835 BRUNSVIGA SALES CO 309 SO 15TH STREET PHILADELPHIA, PA PATENT GN&CC? The serial number indicates that the machine was made between 1910 and 1920. It has been well maintained and lubricated with a light oil recommended by machinists. I removed the "top" cover to show the interior. It works well.
There are wood plugs under the base to plug previous holes. Because of the nice work, shown in a photo, I assume it is a factory retrofit of previously made cases. I assumed it was original.
BRUNSVIGA is on the casting underneath the frame as seen in the photos. There are no cracks in the castings or covers.
I got it without the set screw which should be used to hold the carriage in place when shipping. I made one, a non standard 3/16” - 36 tps thread size, which is in the photos. The screw is long so you will be able to remove and reinstall it easily. The calculator will be shipped locked with this screw.
Notice that it is locked when the #5 is at the right side of the upper chassis. Turn the screw counterclockwise several turns until you can move the carriage. To lock it again, it should be between #5 and #6, but actually at 5 1/8 along the way. You can feel this. And you will see this when the locking screw is out and you look underneath as the carriage is moved slightly off the 5 position toward the #6 position.
I strive for same day shipping and 30 day returns according to eBay rules.
