The main section
of our Lightning Strike Protection line is an
Active
Air Terminals, the essence of any "Forend" Lightning Protection System. This actually "does the job".
How does it works? When the lightning strikes in proximity of the protected structure/house, the Conductor produces an anticipating upward streamer (ready-to-go path) in order to “catch” the lightning strike current and redirect it to the earth through the grounding electrodes.
The most powerful LP active device is commonly used in
Commercial Lightning Protection Systems for large buildings
and industrial applications. This covers an area 518 feet in diameter. A mid-size LP active device is for smaller applications -
Lightning Protection Rod System Conductor
will protect 413 feet diameter territory. The smallest LP active device is usually bought by private house owners or small businesses. It’s ideal for Regular
Home Lightning Protection System
and protects 315 feet diameter zone.
